ELIZA HERINGER
Executive Director / Owner
As the head of the company, Eliza is thrilled to begin this journey bringing compassion driven therapy to Ottawa. After working in the field of autism therapy for multiple years, Eliza is excited to be venturing out on her own and opening The CORE’s first centre. From working 1:1 with clients to aiding in business operations - she’s consistently pushed herself to grow within the field.
Eliza believes that each child is unique and therefore, their care at CORE should be too. She has built a team that will work diligently to provide you and your child the most inclusive and accommodating experience possible.
Eliza is happiest when she is able to connect with our clients and their families and provide meaningful services. She loves music, baking and making funny faces.
JOLLY SEHGAL
Clinical Supervisor / BCBA
Jolly is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst & is thrilled to offer her services in the role of Clinical Supervisor at The CORE Learning Centre. Jolly brings with her over 9 years of ABA experience in different community settings and roles such as behaviour therapist, staff & caregiver coach, Algonquin College Student Placement Supervisor & Senior Therapist in Ottawa area since 2011. As a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, Jolly also enjoys supervising professionals who are pursuing their education and certification in the field of ABA.
Jolly holds a Master’s degree in Child & Human Development from India and post graduate studies in the Autism & Behavioral Science (Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology). She completed her college placements in Toronto at Surrey Place Centre and The Adventure Place. After completing her graduation certificate program from Seneca, Jolly continued to develop her skills in the field with online coursework from University of North Texas. For the love of ABA, Jolly strives to stay updated with the latest in the field & continuously hone her Professional Development skills by attending workshops, conferences, webinars & reading.
As a mother of 2 wonderful teenagers, she understands each child is unique & therefore, their learning opportunities & experiences ought to reflect that with compassionate, trauma informed ABA. Jolly has a wide variety of interests but specifically enjoys developing programs that target language & communication skills for both verbal & non-verbal learners, teaching functional communication to learners with challenging behaviors, caregiver & school personnel mentorship and verbal behaviour. She offers the dedication and motivation required to make an effective contribution to any team in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team & caregivers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Jolly is multilingual (English, Hindi, Punjabi & Urdu). When not at her work desk, Jolly can be seen doing stretching exercises in the play room, dancing to music, or anything fun, silly and engaging with her little friends. Jolly enjoys long walks & jogs on trails, hikes, gardening, reading, having meaningful & silly conversations with her kids ,watching sci-fi shows on Netflix, and making funny faces (just like Eliza).
PASCAL VIAU
Operations Manager
Pascal comes to us with 10+ years of management and customer care relations experience. He led the way in previous job endeavors by having a passion for developing talent and creating a healthy workspace for employees to thrive in. What drew him to The Core was the drive and passion of Executive Director Eliza and her outspoken advocacy for children with autism and is really looking forward to showcasing the unique approach they will bring to the autism community!
Pascal is also an animal lover and is kept busy chasing his rescue cat Gravy around the house. Other interests include heading to the cottage and enjoying lake life while staying active through hiking and exercise.
